Biological Environment Low
intertidal: barnacles (Tesseropora
rosea), tubiculous polychaetes (Galeolaria
caespitosa), large molluscs including the limpet Cellana tramoserica and the carnivorous gastropods Thais
orbita and Morula marginalba and a diverse range of algae (e.g. Ulva,
Enteromorpha, Pterocladia, and
Corallina),. Midtide level and above: biota are composed of scattered grazing gastropods (Nodilittorina unifasciata, Austrocochlea constricta and others) and occasional sparse algae (Saenger et al 1991).
